The original keyboard had a foreign layout, which our technicians have adapted to QWERTY US. Keys that could not be converted have been fitted with high-quality stickers. In 99% of cases only the punctuation marks and numbers are labelled.
Where do our computers come from?
You may have wondered where our computers come from exactly. On several pages of our website we try to provide transparency about this. Still, it is possible that you do not end up everywhere and therefore miss certain details.
Our equipment is imported from abroad, because the choice of high-quality refurbished computers in the Netherlands is limited. When selecting batches we look critically at performance, processor, price and overall quality. The computers we offer generally come from office use, and have therefore been protected from intensive use or harmful outside influences, such as extreme temperatures or moisture. Quality comes first with us — but that also requires careful trade-offs. Take, for example, a batch of laptops from the French tax authority. These laptops are often excellently maintained, but have an AZERTY keyboard, which is unusual in the Netherlands.
Our approach: replace or label
Where possible we choose the most reliable solution: completely replacing the keyboard. This way you are assured of an optimal user experience, with no compromise on quality or durability.
We work exclusively with Lenovo ThinkPad laptops. As a result we know exactly which models lend themselves to complete replacement and where an alternative approach is better.
When a keyboard cannot be replaced, we opt for a high-quality labelling solution. The keys are fitted with durable black labels with a QWERTY US or QWERTY UK layout — the most common layouts in the Netherlands. These labels are firmly attached, not easily removable, and of course replaceable when necessary.
