Graphics card.

The difference between GeForce and Quadro: short and sweet

  • GeForce: Designed for gamers. Ideal for high frame rates, impressive graphics performance and a smooth experience in games. Perfect for casual to high-end gaming, depending on the model.

  • Quadro: Built for creative professionals and specialists. Perfect for heavy video editing, complex 3D modelling and professional music production. Offers more stability, precision and optimised performance for professional software.

The performance of a graphics card is largely determined by two elements: VRAM and cores.

VRAM (Video Random Access Memory) is the memory of the card. It temporarily stores graphics data, such as images and textures, so that they can be processed quickly. The more VRAM you have, the better your graphics card can handle heavy graphics tasks, such as gaming at high resolutions, video editing or 3D rendering.

Cores are the processing units of the graphics card that are responsible for all graphics calculations. The more cores, the faster and more smoothly the card can handle complex tasks, such as rendering images, animations or special effects in games.

GeForce cards are designed for consumers and deliver high performance for gaming. Ideal for hobbyists, home users and gamers.

Available GeForce cards:

  • NVIDIA GeForce MX250 (2GB VRAM, GDDR5, 384 cores) --> (light gaming)
  • NVIDIA GeForce MX330 (2GB VRAM, GDDR5, 384 cores) --> (light gaming)
  • NVIDIA GeForce GTX1050 (2GB VRAM, GDDR5, 640 cores) --> (medium gaming)
  • NVIDIA GeForce 940MX (2GB VRAM, GDDR5, 512 cores) --> (light gaming)
  • NVIDIA GeForce RTX3000 (6GB VRAM, GDDR6, 1920 cores) --> (medium to heavy gaming)
  • NVIDIA GeForce RTX5000 (16GB VRAM, GDDR6, 3072 cores) --> (heavy gaming)

Quadro cards are built for professionals who work with heavy software such as AutoCAD, Adobe Premiere and 3D modelling applications. These cards offer stability, precision and higher VRAM for complex projects.
